Detailed Description -
The first time EdgeSafe File Backup Agent runs it will create a full backup of the desired folders onto a per user secure backup folder that is located on a central network storage (backup onto a portable USB device can also be supported).
Then in every subsequent backup run -- only the new and changed files will be backed up, and at the same time older backup files that have a newer backup version will be moved onto Backup History folders. That way not only the latest backup version can be easily recovered but it is also possible to recover files from previous backup run that can go up to 12 months back, and all this without multiplying the backup space.
In addition to recovering individual files from multiple historical dates, EdgeSafe File Backup Agent allows to recover up to 21 of the latest backup versions of folders/file complete or partial structures.
The backup run invokes automatically as soon as the user logs into the corporate network, provided it is within the defined backup window, witout any manual intervention.
EdgeSafe File Backup Agent will also report daily on the status of the backup to EdgeSafe Control Station (not included with the purchase of this agent) so that the admin can get a digest of all backup reports in a single backup report that is emailed daily at midnight.
