EdgeSafe Version 8.1 has been released

EdgeSafe Version 8.1

1. Allows the EdgeSafe Control Station to configure a value to throttle down the average network bandwidth from the backing up computer to the backup storage.
2. New feature to configure a backup storage quota so that alerts are set and sent to the administrator when the quota is over consumed.
3. New feature to monitor oversized source PST files and set an alert when such PST exists in any of the users' workstations.
4. Allows the Control Station to run on Windows 7 as well.
5. Control Station support for Outlook 64 bit.
6. New report that presents the last successful backup for any user or group of users
7. Creating a new configuration that is based on an existing one.
8. Improving a licenses release when a user was already deleted from the system.
9. Minor bug fixes.

EdgeSafe Version 7.3 

1. EdgeSafe Control station ver 7.3 supports backup agents for Outlook 2010 64bit as well as all previous agents (File/Folder Backup Agent; PST2PST Backup Agent for Outlook 2000 2003 2007 2010 32 bit).
2. Providing a new report for "Last successful backup".
3. Control Station can now run on Windows 7 as well.

PST2PST 64bit Backup Agent

1. New agent for Outlook 2010 64 bit.
2. Removes profman.dll dependency in agents
3. Backup changes adapting Outlook 2010 behavior.

Version 7.2_1

Control Station Changes

1. Bug correction in licenses validation regarding a situation when the license contains leases for both File Backup and PST2PST Backup agents, but only one agent is installed.
2. Fixing a small bug that caused in rare cases a "configuration cannot be loaded" error.

File Backup Agent

1. A fix to remove a false error message that was caused when the computer clock was disrupted (like in the case when a notebook lead is shut).
2. A fix to avoid a redundant error message when the System Tray is not responding for some unrelated reason.
3. Minor bugs fix in the GUI of the backup agent including removing the chance to get a redundant message “Unable to Pause”.

PST2PST Backup Agent

1. Fixing a false alarm error, that caused a false "Stop Scan" error.
2. Minor GUI changes.
3. Minor bugs fix in the GUI of the backup agent including removing the chance to get a redundant message “Unable to Pause”.

Version 7.2

Control Station Changes

1. Adding installation roll back
2. Inhibiting wrong installation out of a maintenance period
3. Supporting environment variables for the source path of selected backup.
4. Fixing a bug in multilingual server when setting “Everyone” permission.
5. Removing the past alerts of the user when the user license is removed.
6. Fixing a bug that prevented version upgrades when a certain configuration changed from selected users& groups to All Users.

File Backup Agent

1. New GUI same appearance different implementation to avoid few dlls installation.

PST2PST Backup Agent

2. Supporting the backup of a PST file that is created by “Google App Sync for Microsoft Outlook”

4. Prevent the agent from running when there is a version of Outlook that it does not support.
5. Check OS version for compatibility before installation.
6. Fixing a rare to reproduce bug that caused some items to duplicate on the source PST under Windows 7 (new dll).
7. Improve memory consumption.
8. Copying an email item will now retain its Read property.
9. Improving setup program.
10. Minor improvements and minor bug fixes.

Version 7.1

1. EdgeSafe Control station 7.1 now supports the new File Backup agent as well as the PST2PST Backup agent.
2. New support for backup onto portable USB hard disk drives.
3. Allowing to remove a user that left the company from the backup to avoid false alarms

Control Station Changes

1. Allowing user email notification when administrator uses PST Restore function
2. Solving a bug in the Diagnostics form when running under Windows 2008 Server. Diagnostics form is frozen if admin enters another user to test the Reports and Archive shares
3.  Fixing a license registration bug which limited the user’s name to 30 characters
4.  Fixing a bug which allowed to filter reports from any past day to only the current day
5.  Fixing a rare bug where in Windows 2008 server, the Control Station’s Alert Service Threshold setting form, occasionally, caused the Control Station form to close when the inherit flag was checked.

PST2PST Agent Changes 

1. Fixing a bug that happens with Windows 7/Outlook 2007, where the backup sometimes will not start if Outlook is open.

Control Station Changes

1. Solving a bug for the admin restore form, where if the user name was composed of two names separated with a dot the domain was not found (like in userfirs.userlast@domain.xxx)
2.  Allowing to use IP address in the Reports path
3.  Solving a bug that caused the log file to have random value in the “Total number /%of machines with error” field. This bug happened when there was not even one machine that reported its backup status.
