EdgeSafe™ is unique solution that backup Outlook data seamlessly and incrementally. It backs up emails stored on a user's notebook or desktop onto a central storage area.

EdgeSafe with its PST2PST agent targets organizations that have email information stored on desktops and/or notebooks (in Outlook’s local archive file - PST), and want to protect the mail information in an efficient manner into a central location.

Every predefined period EdgeSafe™ simply checks if the backup destination is available, and then it copies into a dedicated secure (per user) central backup/archive destination, any email item created since the last backup run.

Since only new and changed email items are copied, the Outlook backup is incremental and therefore is very fast and consumes minimal space. Another unique point is the ability to filter out certain folders such as Junk Mail, further reducing the required backup/archive space.

The end result is a system that archives a single or multiple PST files that are located on the user’s notebook or desktop into corresponding aggregating PST files on the backup destination.

As EdgeSafe™ archives are standard, they can be searched by Outlook as well as by most search engines such as Google Desktop Search.
