RRBTM - Incremental Backup To Disk...Including Backup Library Creation Software Download | Purchase | Request Datasheet | Testimonial Relative Rev. Backup (RRB™) creates on any standard disk a backup library that can easily restore files and folders that were inadvertently deleted or corrupted some days earlier, as well as recover them from versions that are weeks, months, and even years old. Unlike other solutions -- it will do so without having to multiply the backup space. The RRB™ solution provides both backup software and the software that converts hard disks into an efficient backup library. With RRB™ there is no need for any dedicated hardware and the backup media can be any disk-based storage -standard, fixed, or removable; Network Attached Storage (NAS) and even Storage Area Network (SAN). To reduce the required backup space, every backup session will only backup the changed and new files, making sure not to backup duplicates of the same file (single instance file de-duplication). Unlike other incremental backup solutions, RRB's technology does not need lengthy and space consuming full backup sessions. In this manner even weekly, monthly, and yearly sessions back up only the changes made since the previous session. At the same time RRB™ instantly recovers any file or folder from any retained version, without having to first recover the full backup and then tediously recovering every incremental backup taken since. For unattended operation RRB™ can schedule periodic backup sessions, and at the same time it will not wait for the backup space to be taken up with hundreds of backup versions. Rather, it will keep only a predetermined number of daily. Weekly, monthly and yearly versions, seamlessly purging the space consumed by expired versions. To protect the data from falling into the wrong hands RRB™ offers a state of the art 128-512 bit on-the-fly encryption option. Another exciting feature is the ability offered by RRB™ to search for files across all retained backup versions by their full or partial file name. Backed up versions can be validated periodically to verify that the backup is still in excellent condition. That way surprises can be avoided when coming to recover the backup from corrupt version, and an action can be taken to fix the problematic backup. RRB™ disk swapping allows for offsite storage and media redundancy.
