Exchange Server Backup and Archiving in a Sensible Way

ExCharge^TM for Server uses standard archive format in a very innovative way - allowing scalability to support both small and corporate size organizations. At the same time it maintains simplicity and avoids using components that can obstruct normal e-mail flow.

ExCharge^TM for Server does not install any software on Exchange Server, nor on any user’s workstation. It archives and backs up selected mailboxes from Exchange server as well as public folder onto centrally located archives. A separate archive is created for each user and for the public folder. On an annual basis, ExCharge^TM for Server can automatically create a new archive for each user so that the archives will not grow endlessly.

After the desired retention period - archives can be easily deleted or moved onto a less expensive storage (like burning them onto CD/DVD or moving them onto tape backup). ExCharge™ archives are portable, which means that a user can simply copy the archives to his notebook and then gain offline access to all archived email information.

ExCharge™ archives are standard (compatible to PST) so they can be searched by Outlook as well as by most search engines such as Google Desktop Search.
