What to Backup
Data files should be backed up regularly. It is the outcome of your work, and if you loose it, it can only be recovered from a backup source.
Programs and operating System, on the other hand, can be reinstalled.
However, a lot of user specific configuration is held in several components referred to as
System State.
It contains the critical
system files, the registry, Active Directory directory service information, and other important system information. Therefore, we recommend backing the system state information on regular basis.
Relative Rev Backup makes it very easy to schedule
and manage backup versions for the System-State and data files.
